Enter the North Side of the Building and park in the North Parking Lot. Enter through the “Gym/Auditorium Entry Way” and proceed to F Hall and take an immediate left. Enter to the Small Choir Room from F Hall. The Small Choir Room will serve as the main holding room for this contest.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE WARMED UP BEFORE YOU GET THERE!!! Warm up at home, in the car, etc. Do whatever you need to do to get yourself warm! There will be warm up rooms on site – but there is no guarantee that they will be available at the exact moment that you need to warm up.
There are four rooms for this contest. The names of your judge and room number is listed at the top of each column. Please report to your room at least 20 minutes before your assigned contest time.
The attire for this event is Sunday best, nice, dressy, professional. No jeans or t-shirts! Dress nicely!
Girls – You need to wear a nice dress (or skirt) that is MODEST (which means that if it is a short dress… it needs to be pretty close to your knees!!!) or nice dressy pants/slacks with a nice dressy top. Dressy shoes… but not super high heels. You want to be comfortable when performing.
Guys – Slacks/khakis with a nice dress shirt (polo or button down) and dress shoes. Coat & tie would also be fantastic!!
BEFORE YOU SING:
Before you sing, make sure to introduce yourself. Tell the judge which piece you will be singing and the name of the composer.
EXAMPLE: Good afternoon! My name is Paul Doucet and today, I will be singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by Liam Payne.
Also - If you are singing in a foreign language – make sure that you can tell the judge WHAT your song is ABOUT. It is very possible that they might ask you about it.
WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED SINGING:
Before you exit the room, THANK YOUR JUDGE!!! ☺ You are free to leave as soon as you complete your performance.
Scores will be updated in real time as soon as the judges submit their scores. You may check your results here: https://www.texasmusicforms.com/sedirratingsSPR.asp?c=5133&d=doucetp&r=31
