We have some exciting news about our London 2019 Choir Trip March 8 – March 17, 2019. We are able to open the enrollment for this trip to accommodate several more students! Any student in the Choral Department is eligible to travel with us this spring!
Trip packet which includes a tentative itinerary, UK Sign up waiver and UK Payment waiver are located here: http://www.dragonchoirs.net/london-2019.html
While the trip is currently “sold-out” we have the opportunity to fill another motor coach with approximately 40 more students and chaperones. We are opening a “waitlist” in hopes that we are able to add enough travelers to add them all to our trip.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity… please follow these steps no later than Thursday, September 13. Your student will be “wait-listed” for the trip and by September 20th we should know if the students on the wait-list can be added to the trip. To be placed on the wait list you must follow these 5 steps.
1. (UK Sign up waiver, UK Payment letter located here: http://www.dragonchoirs.net/london-2019.html )
2. – Must be valid to travel in March of 2019. If your student does not have a valid passport you will need to send a copy in no later than December 15, 2018.
3. This is a different amount that listed on the contract because we a signing up and splitting payments over 4 months. (TRIPS MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY JANUARY 1, 2019) The trip total is still what is listed on the original paperwork… but the monthly payments will be higher to pay the trip off by the deadline.
4. VERY IMPORTANT – ALL FALL REGISTRANTS WILL BE PUT ON A WAITING LIST.
1.IF, BY SEPTEMBER 13, WE ARE ABLE TO MEET THE 40 PERSON REQUIREMENT THEN MR. DOUCET WILL MAIL IN THE ADDITIONAL DEPOSITS AND THE REGISTRATION WILL BE APPROVED.
2.IF THE TRIP DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH STUDENTS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS ABLE TO TRAVEL THEN THE DEPOSIT CHECKS WILL BE RETURNED UNCASHED TO STUDNTS ON THE WAIT LIST.
Thank you so much!
We are looking forward to traveling with your students!
Choir uniforms were checked out to the Lock In last Friday evening. Students are responsible for the maintenance of that uniform throughout the rental period. At the conclusion of each school year, students will return cleaned uniforms to be inventoried for the next year. If a uniform is lost or permanently damaged, students will be expected to cover the cost of a replacement. At the end of the year, if a student has not turned in their uniform or paid for a replacement, their grade will be held as incomplete. Rented items should NOT be permanently altered. Please do not cut any material on rented uniforms.

Here is a WONDERFUL optional opportunity for our students! The American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) has a National Honor Choir that performs during its biannual conference. This year ACDA will be held in Kansas City, MO, February 27th – March 2nd. Last year we had four students participated in the Southwestern Division of ACDA in Oklahoma City. In 2017, we had two students who performed with the internationally acclaimed conductor/composer, Eric Whitacre at National ACDA in Minneapolis, MN! All auditions will consist of three separate recordings:
This Honor Choir is a wonderful way to continue develop your child’s audition skills and increase their musical ability. Many students also use ACDA National Honor Choir as a networking tool with musician from across the country!
